Project news: HAWO and Suomu Adventures to joine forces – 10 new cabins
HAWO and Suomu Adventures have signed an agreement for the delivery of ten new cabins to the rapidly developing Suomutunturi area in Finnish Lapland. Suomu Adventures provides high-quality travel services in Lapland for international customers. With the addition of these new cabins, the company will expand its customer capacity, and offer more attractive year-round travel opportunities. The houses will be delivered in spring 2026.
Suomu Adventures – activities and services
Suomu Adventures offers a wide range of travel services in the heart of Lapland’s beautiful natural surroundings. The growing Suomutunturi region is one of the snowiest areas in Finland, making it ideal for a long and productive winter season from a tourism perspective.
The company’s core business is built around its own accommodation, activity services, and a variety of winter experiences available in the area. The majority of its customers are international visitors seeking an authentic Lapland winter experience: hiking, ice fishing, snowmobiling, husky and reindeer safaris, and peaceful relaxation in a sauna and the surrounding nature. Suomu Adventures is also a partner and destination for award-winning British tour operator Canterbury Travel, which organises popular and lauded Christmas and winter holidays in Lapland.
All accommodation and activities are located in the Suomutunturi area in Kemijärvi, less than an hour’s drive from Rovaniemi and its international airport. In the coming years, the rapidly developing Suomutunturi region aims to attract more visitors, thanks to its strategic location and the increasing range of travel experiences and accommodation options.

With ten new, high-quality Hawo cabins, Suomu Adventures will be able to meet growing demand and offer even more attractive and versatile accommodation solutions to a wider range of customer segments. The modern cabins also provide profitable capacity outside the peak winter season.
The new, contemporary accommodation opens up opportunities for further development of year-round services, such as longer independent stays, more activities, and even tailored “coolcation” packages during the summer or hiking during autumn foliage seasons. The high quality and modern fittings of the accommodation support Suomu Adventures’ mission to offer memorable travel experiences in Finnish Lapland.
For HAWO, this project represents an important reference in the growing Lapland tourism market. Working with Suomu Adventures, part of A La Carte Lapland Oy, demonstrates that HAWO’s solutions are an excellent fit for the demanding needs of internationally operating travel companies.
